Connecticut Residents Pushing for ‘Trick or Treat Day’ Separate from Halloween

The Anna and Raven Show from STAR 99.9 in Connecticut has created a petition stating that the last Saturday of October should be ‘Trick or Treat Day.’

According to MoveOn Petitions, Trick or Treat Day would not affect the holiday’s celebration on the 31st, and instead would give children and adults an extra day to be able to participate in festivities.

The petition also states that when Halloween falls on a school night, parents and homeowners have less time to take their children trick-or-treating, turning it into a burden for many.

Currently, 391 Connecticut residents have signed the petition, which is just 9 signatures away from its goal of 400. If this passes, it may become a tradition that other states decide to take on as well.

Do you think Trick or Treat Day is a good idea? Let us know in the comments below!
