Pumpkins, Of Course!
What are Halloween decorations without pumpkins, right? Head over to a local pumpkin patch to pick the ideal pumpkins for your front porch. You can have some fun with it by picking a variety of sizes, which will be helpful when it comes time to set them up. Stack them, paint them, draw on them, turn them into storage by carving out the top – the choice is yours! If carving is an option of yours, transform a couple of pumpkins into spooky jack-o-lanterns and take it a step further by placing flame-less candles inside each to illuminate your porch for all to see!

Use the Nature Surrounding You
One of the easiest ways to keep some money in your pocket is to use the decor that is already accessible to you. Fall decor could be right in your own backyard! Wander around your yard and pick up leaves, fallen branches and pine cones to help complete your Halloween porch that can feature some Fall touches as well. The leaves and pine cones can be turned into a super festive wreath that can hang from the front door and the branches will make for some cool decor that can be placed in containers or hung from the roof of your porch.

Repurpose Items
Save some money by using items you already have in your home as decoration. This can include anything from brooms, lanterns, wooden crates, burlap, black lace or netting. Old brooms can help complete a witchy look, while lanterns can light the way to your front door. If there are items that need some TLC, purchase spray paint to give it a face-lift and it will look good as new! Adding your own touches to old items is a sure way to give your porch a unique touch this Halloween Season!

Get Crafty
Show off your creative side by making some hanging bats or small mice by using black construction paper and a cutout. Some other Halloween props that can be created this way include ghosts, black cats, spiders, skulls or witch hats! This project works best if you have time put aside, and it could even be a fun craft for the kids to participate in!

Utilize Props
If you aren’t able to make all of your decorations, head to a local Halloween store to purchase some petrifying props. This option especially works for those who are running out of time or have a tight schedule. You can’t go wrong with a seriously spooky prop, and it will surely help complete your porch’s Halloween theme!

Lighting
Decorative lights aren’t just for Christmas time – purchase some orange string lights to hang on your porch, or all around your home if you’d like! Lighting will help make your decorations pop and will make them much easier to see from the street. Get creative with the lights and string them along some of your props or line the floor of your porch with them!
