More About Haunted Corn Mazes

Haunted Corn Mazes are a Halloween attraction that features spooky creatures all throughout, distracting you at each turn. Mazes in general take a ton of time to prepare and grow, local farmers work their hardest during the year to satisfy their visitors’ appetite for fear when October rolls around. The mazes are carefully planned and can appear in a variety of designs and are sometimes even created to tell a story! Once farmers have grown their corn, which in the Northern Hemisphere, is best to begin in mid-late May and in the Southern Hemisphere, mid-late November is ideal, they can create their walkways. Some farmers use mowers to do this, while others use herbicides and rototillers. In order to assure there is no re-growth, the internal growing point of the stalk must be cut off.

Corn Mazes are a great way to help support local farmers, which is why it only made sense to put a twist on things and create Haunted Corn Mazes! Since the maze is already created, all that needs to be added is some creepy decor, some monsters to infest the inside and eerie noises, such as chainsaws. Chainsaws are a popular Halloween prop because it’s not only frightening while it’s roaring right beside you, but it’s something you can hear from a distance, which surely scares all that are approaching! Unlike a regular Haunted House that has actors inside, corn mazes make it a bit more difficult to see what or who is about to jump out at you. There’s twists and turns, leaving space for the creatures to be lurking just about anywhere!
