Thursday 4/25 Open 9am to 6pm. Busy morning with school tours. The Kid Zone will open at 11am, and the Goat Walk will open at noon. Upick strawberry picking is ok. Waxhaw Kettle Corn & Lemonade Company is our local supplier of the best kettle corn ever. Freshly popped, melts in your mouth, the perfect balance of sweet and salty, you can't stop snacking on it. Wednesday – Friday – Kid zone opens at 11am, Goat Walk and Kid Walk open at 12pm.

Kitchen, Goat Walk, and Kid Walk closes 1 hour before the farm. Bakery and Kid Zone close 30 minutes before the farm.

Strawberry Fields open weather and availability permitting.

Wednesday April 24 open 9am to 6pm. Upick is good, but there are a lot of water damaged berries too. It will help us if you can pick off those bad berries and drop them in the walk aisles. We are busy Wednesday and Thursday mornings with big field trips; the Goat Walk and Kid Zone will open at 12 pm.

(Old picture) The farm will be closed Tuesday to allow the strawberries to ripen more. Open Wednesday 9am to 6pm. The plants are not producing well this season. We have been battling several serious plant health issues since planting last October. It bears repeating how critical it is for you to help us protect the health of these plants by not stepping on the plastic or attempting to step across the rows. The plants' root systems are not healthy; stepping on the plastic directly injures the roots, and contacting the leaves and fruit with your shoes damages both, allowing fungus to spread rampantly. Thank you for helping us keep these plants healthy and productive.

Friday 4/19 Open 9am to 7pm. We've got the berries! I can't believe it's happening so fast, but this weekend looks like the peak of the season. When we started growing strawberries 16 years ago, April 19th was the start of the season and the peak was around Mother's Day. Anyway, the picking is easy anywhere in the field, but always best the farther you walk.

Please be extra careful to not step on the plastic or cross the rows. Not only does this damage the strawberry plants, but we just planted tomatoes and eggplants in some of the rows between the strawberry plants. It is a double experiment. First, to see if this is a viable double cropping method and second, to test the interest in staying open a day or two each week to sell summer vegetables and operate our activities.

Millie from Australia in the pic is our record holder for continuous Zipline runs on the Goat Walk. She racked up 20 rides this morning one after the other! A great reason to come to the farm on weekdays; the activities are never crowded.
